London Eye

The London Eye, also known as the Millennium Wheel, is one of the most popular landmarks in London, offering stunning panoramic views of the city. Located on the South Bank of the River Thames, the Ferris wheel stands at 135 meters (443 feet) tall, making it one of the tallest observation wheels in Europe. It was opened to the public in 2000 to celebrate the new millennium and has since become an iconic symbol of modern London.

The London Eye features 32 glass-enclosed passenger capsules, each capable of holding up to 25 people. The wheel rotates slowly, allowing passengers to enjoy breathtaking views of major landmarks such as Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, St. Paul’s Cathedral, and the Houses of Parliament. A complete rotation takes about 30 minutes, providing ample time to take in the sights.

The attraction is not only a popular tourist destination but also a unique way to experience the city’s skyline. It is especially beautiful at night when it is illuminated, creating a striking presence along the Thames. The London Eye has become a must-see for visitors and a beloved part of the city’s skyline, offering an unforgettable view of London’s landmarks from above.
